Shipping Policy

LAST UPDATED: FEBRUARY 2026

Canada Diplomatic House utilizes a specialized secure courier service to ensure the safe transport of duty-free goods. Due to the sensitive nature of our inventory, strict chain-of-custody protocols are enforced for all deliveries.

1. Processing & Dispatch

All orders are processed within 24–48 hours following credential verification. Please note:

  • Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or Canadian statutory holidays.
  • High-volume periods (e.g., December) may result in slight dispatch delays.
  • Tracking numbers are transmitted via secure email upon dispatch.

2. Mandatory Delivery Conditions

To comply with Global Affairs Canada regulations, "Drop-off" delivery is strictly prohibited. The following conditions must be met at the time of delivery:

  • Authorized Presence: An authorized representative must be physically present at the Mission address to receive the shipment.
  • Visual Inspection: The recipient is required to inspect the outer packaging immediately upon arrival.
  • Formal Sign-Off: A valid signature is required on the manifest. This signature constitutes legal acknowledgement of receipt.
  • Official Mission Stamp: The official stamp of the Diplomatic Mission must be affixed to the customs documentation. The courier is instructed to withhold the package if this stamp is not provided.

3. Damages & Refusal

If the visual inspection reveals damage to the packaging:

  • Do NOT sign the acceptance form.
  • Refuse the shipment immediately with the courier.
  • Contact our Protocol Office immediately. Once signed for, the transfer of custody is complete, and we are no longer liable for external damages.

4. Customs & Exemption Limits

While goods are sold tax-exempt, the purchaser is responsible for adhering to their personal exemption limits. Canada Diplomatic House is not liable for duties or taxes applied by authorities should a specific quota be exceeded.
