Frequently Asked Questions
Who is eligible for membership?
Membership is reserved for accredited members of the diplomatic community in Canada. Applications are verified against your mission credentials before access is granted; accreditation is confirmed by our attachés, typically within 24 to 48 hours.
How do I apply for membership?
Submit the membership request on our homepage with your name, official email, and telephone. Once your standing is verified, credentials to the private catalogue are issued to you by secure email.
Are the goods genuinely duty-free?
Yes. All articles are supplied duty-free under your personal diplomatic entitlement. You remain responsible for observing your own exemption limits; Canada Diplomatic House is not liable for duties applied by authorities should a quota be exceeded.
How is delivery handled?
Orders are dispatched by specialised secure courier to your Mission address under chain-of-custody protocol. An authorised representative must be present to receive the shipment, inspect the packaging, sign the manifest, and affix the official Mission stamp to the customs documentation. Drop-off delivery is not permitted.
How does the monthly subscription work?
Build a standing subscription of two or more cartons of cigarettes or heated tobacco, delivered on the first of every month at 10% below the one-time rate. You may change or cancel the subscription at any time through your member account. Cigars are available for one-time order only.
